Marshall Bruce Mathers III ,better known of as Eminem (or Slim Shady) is said to be one of the most controversial rappers in the world. His sick and twisted ly 858b15i rics bring out a side of him never expected from his family and friends, most of which have abandoned him.

But Eminem's rise to stardom was not easy. His teenage years were mostly spent travelling. Changing schools every couple of weeks made it hard to make friends, graduate and stay out trouble. He seems to have had a painful chilhood; battling schoolmates in the lunchroom was one of his few joys in life. Sick and tired of school and his life, Eminem dropped out and landed several different low-paying , full-time jobs, to support himself. Nobody else would.

After years of hard work, the Ditroit rapper would release his first record, the Infinite EP, in 1996, which he ended up selling out of the trunk of his car. After the disappointment and hurt the response Infinite received, Eminem decided to work on a project strictly for himself. This became the Slim Shady EP. This album was full of scary lyrics ,revelaing Eminem's harsh reality. The sick and twisted ly 858b15i rics eventually caught the ear of hip-hop's underground.

The gamble he took on the release of this album payed off. Eminem had finally made a name himself. It only went up from here. After presenting a copy of Infinite to Wendy Day,from Rap Coalition, she helped him to find a spot in Coalition's 1997 Rap Olympics in Los Angeles, California. His amazing freestlying talent won him second prize.

Dr Dre, one of the most respected rap artists in the business, heard Eminem's impressive lyrics and instantly knew that Marshall Mathers had what it took to be a top artist. He signed Eminem to his Aftermath imprint and the two have been working together ever since. It was Dr Dre who started Eminem on the triple platinum Slim Shady Lp.

This album caught the ear of every music company in the world. Its demented, vulgar and violenty warped lyrics are sure to be some of the most memorable ever. The rapper has had many complaints, and hate his success, but he doesn't care what anybody thinks . As he would put it ,"I do say things that I think will shock people, but I don't do things to shock people. I don't know how long I'm going to be on this planet. So, while I'm here, I might as well make the most of it."

Eminem's most recent work is the Marshall Mathers LP. An album dedicated to all of those people who didn't believe in him or who critized his work. This album has broken the record for most records sold in a single weekend by a solo artist.
